If you want to get a more authentic vibe, be surounded by more Colombians than foreigners, this you should give yourself a chance: LAURELES!
Many do not know that Laureles is a neighborhood with an incredible variety of cuisine and entertainment options, and it’s only 15 minutes drive from El Poblado. Along Carrera 70, along Avenida Jardin or even along Avenida Nutibara you can find many restaurants offering various types of cuisine and bars where you can enjoy live music or some fancy cocktails.
There are hundreds of restaurants and bars in Laureles, and although this list definetely falls short, we’d like this to be your introduction to a less touristic face of Medellin. Best Bars in Laureles
Fidelina
Location: Carrera 73 #3-44C
Fidelina, a well-known bar/restaurant in Laureles, is the perfect place to have a good time with friends and family. It opens from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Fidelina has now two bars in Laureles, the one we are giving you the pin to is known for its decoration (which is the closest you can get to the famous Ruin Pubs in Budatest) and a wide selection of cocktails and beers. Food goes from pasta and burgers to nachos and more, their menu will satisfy any craving you might have.
La Charcu
Location: Carrera 70 #2-48
La Charcu is a go-to spot for fantastic cocktails, imported beers, and delicious “picadas” – a Colombian dish meant for sharing, featuring a medley of meat, plantains, arepas, yuca, sausage, and crispy chicharrón. In addition to the mouthwatering “picada”, they serve empanadas, nachos, and burgers. They have special monthly promotions, so be sure to check out their Instagram page to stay updated.

Location: Carrera 73 con Circular 3-8
If you’re searching for a rooftop bar that offers a delicious brunch or lunch experience and a fun spot to spend an evening with friends sipping cocktails, look no further than Panorama. With locations in Laureles and Provenza, this bar has something for everyone, from pancakes and waffles to steaks, tacos, and pasta dishes. And, of course, don’t forget to explore their impressive selection of cocktails and beers.
Del Patio
Location: Circular 2 #70-29
Del Patio is a renowned restaurant and bar celebrated for its delicious pizzas and enticing grill dishes, including various steaks, ribs, and burgers. BBC
Location: Avenida 74B #39B-90
Bogotá Beer Company (BBC) stands as one of Colombia’s most renowned breweries, offering a taste of European-style brewing. With its wide variety of craft beers BBC guarantees a unique drinking experience. You can find their bars scattered across major cities like Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali, among others. Note: They do not have a kitchen, so they don’t really sell food, however they let you bring your empanadas, chicken wings, nachos, or whatever they sell in the suroundings.

La Casa Del Lado
Location: Carrera 73 Circular 3-30
Literally “Next door house”, probably because it’s right next to Fidelina? or first in our list. Anyways, the name is cool on its one and the locations even more. It’s a place that recently opened in Avenida Jardin or (Carrera 73). The atmosphere is unique in the city, they have a rooftop, cocktials and great food. Definetely an off-the-beaten path bar.
All along Carrera 70
Location: Carrera 70, Laureles
La 70, situated between the Estadio metro station and the Unicentro shopping mall, is a street that offers a diverse range of dining and entertainment options. Here, you’ll find many restaurants and bars to suit every taste. Whether you’re in the mood for Italian cuisine, Chinese food, pizzas, burgers, pasta dishes, or grilled specialties, La 70 has something for everyone. Additionally, the nightlife scene along this street caters to different preferences, with bars offering relaxed evenings with live music or discotheques to dance the night away.
